I am currently a Ph.D. student of Apex Data & Knowledge Management Lab, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My advisor is Professor Yong Yu. My current research interests include: Semantic Web, Database systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Retrieval.

Experience

Research Projects

Building the Chinese Semantic Search Engine based on UIMA, from Jan 2009 to Jan 2010, a research project awarded by IBM UIMA Innovation. I was the project leader on the university side.

Fast Querying on Large Scale Semantic Data using Cloud Computing, from May 2008 to May 2010, a joint project with IBM China Research Lab. It aims at building a semantic search engine for fast querying of large scale Semantic Web data using cloud computing. I was the project leader on the university side.

Cleaning and Enriching DBpedia towards Weaving Open Linked Data, from May 2008 to May 2009, a joint project with IBM China Research Lab. It aimed at cleaning and enriching DBpedia to result in high-quality Semantic Web data towards weaving Open Linked Data. I was the project leader on the university side.

SEP (Semantic Enterprise Portal), from Mar 2007 to Mar 2008, a joint project with Intel China Research Lab. It aimed at building a semantic enterprise portal as an intelligent enterprise mashup for easier access, reuse and integration of resources and services. I was the project leader on the university side.

Semantic Search on the Hybrid Semantic Web, from Apr 2006 to Apr 2008, a joint project with IBM China Research Lab. It aimed at building a semantic search system for the Hybrid Semantic Web that contains ontologies with formal semantics, textual documents, and annotations between them. I was the project leader on the university side.

CoBM (Collaborative Business Modeling) from Mar 2005 to Mar 2006, a joint project with IBM China Research Lab. It aimed at developing an integrated collaborative business modeling environment based on Eclipse by integrating Semantic Web technologies. We won the 2006 International IBM Ecplise Innovation Award. I was the project leader on the university side.
